The Whitehall Police Department Narcotics Unit, along with the Joint Eastside Tactical Response Team, executed a search warrant at 208 Midcliff Dr. in Whitehall on 2/14/19 after a passerby alerted the Whitehall Police of a vehicle they believed to be stolen driving in Whitehall.
The occupants of the vehicle fled on foot and were located by Whitehall Narcotics Detectives a short time later. The stolen vehicle was recovered a short distance from 208 Midcliff Dr. This vehicle was reported to be stolen out of burglary in Reynoldsburg on 2/5/19. The residence was surrounded and a search warrant was executed by the Joint Eastside Tactical Response team. Seven people were located inside the residence.
One adult, Chavez Grier, and four juveniles were arrested from the residence. Detectives located four guns inside the residence, three were reported stolen. These guns were reported to be stolen from Smokin’ Aces Armory in Plain City on 2/7/19 after a vehicle drove through the side of the business. The vehicle used in the burglary from Smokin Aces gun shop was also recovered from this incident. That vehicle was stolen from a local Whitehall business on 1/24/19. Further investigation revealed that the same five arrestees had also just been involved in a home invasion/burglary in Reynoldsburg immediately before it was spotted by the passerby who called into the Whitehall Police.
All five subjects arrested from this incident were charged with four counts of receiving stolen property. Further charges including Burglary and Breaking and Entering are pending. The investigation continues by the Whitehall Police Department, Reynoldsburg Police Department, Madison County Sheriff’s Office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.
