Splashpad at John Bishop Park
Cool off this summer at the Splashpad in John Bishop Park! For children 10 & under, the Splashpad is free to registered residents & grandchildren of members of the Whitehall Senior Center. Non-residents are $3 each by credit card only.
Opening Day: Friday May 24th
Closing: Monday September 2nd
How to register
Residents are invited to register their household online by using the link below or by completing the registration process with a staff member from Parks and Recreation.
Members of the Whitehall Senior Citizens Center can now register their grandchildren at the Splashpad.
Once registered, the head of household should bring both proof of residency and age to the Splashpad for their first visit. Photos taken of proof of residency/age will be accepted.
Proof of Residency: Current utility bill AND valid Ohio driver’s license
Proof of Age: Birth Certificate, Whitehall City School ID/report card, or health insurance cards IF D.O.B is printed on card
After this process is complete, registered residents may be accompanied by any caregiver 16 and older.
All non-residents and unregistered residents (ages 10 & under) will be required to pay admission using a credit/debit card. Entry fee: $3 per non-resident Splashpad user.
ALL PAYMENTS MUST BE MADE WITH A CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD - NO CASH NOR CHECKS ACCEPTED
Day cares will not be permitted during normal operating hours. Day cares must pre-book a morning time to use the splash pad and pay at booking. Please call the Parks Office to schedule a time: 614-863-0121
Limit to 100 or fewer users at the discretion of supervising staff given conditions at the time
Entry and Supervision
Only guests ages 10 & under will be permitted to use the Splashpad and all children must be accompanied by an adult/guardian +16 who is within the gated area at all times. All children must be within sight of supervising adult at all times. Youth +11 may attend with supervising adult and are only permitted in play area if supervising a child ages 4 & under. Children ages 4 & under must be within arm’s reach of adult at all times.
Require 1:2 ratio for users aged 4 & under; Require 1:5 ratio for users ages 5 to 10 (or 1 user ages 4 and under and 2 users ages 5 to 10 per each adult.)
Lockers are available (first come, first serve) and locks may not be left overnight.
Consider this a “young lungs at play area” and smoking is prohibited within 20 feet of path or fenced areas.
Eating and drinking is permitted in designated areas only.
Prohibited: Drugs, alcohol, tobacco, smoking, coolers, glass, music, pets/animals other than service animals.
All bags, coolers, containers subject to search and restricted from entry.
Individuals may be expelled or banned for offensive behavior, foul language, or aggressive behaviors.
The Splashpad may be closed for the day for the following reasons: air temperature is below 70*, rain, high winds, lightning/thunder, power outage, if the City is on restricted water usage, or necessary maintenance during operating hours.
