The City of Whitehall, Whitehall Senior Safety Council, Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, Whitehall Division of Police and the Whitehall Division of Fire will entered into the TRIAD Cooperative Agreement on Tuesday, December 11.
These agencies are commited to work together to enhance the safety of older adults in the community. The purpose is to reduce criminal victimization through cooperative strategies, planning, and programming and increase public safety awareness of older persons’ need for security and dignity and to reduce the threat of fire and personal injury.
The initiative was designed to mobilize community resources to ascertain the needs and concerns of older adults and to provide mechanisms for meeting those needs.
To meet these goals the agencies will work together to create a tool to evaluate the needs and challenges of older adults in the community.
