Any kind of trees would make the neighborhood feel more like home, and cut down noise from the roadways

I would like to have delivery of "the bag" stopped. Many neighbors agree with me. It makes an unsightly mess, and nobody wants it, as evidenced by residents being too lazy to pick it up.

I never saw this tree until buying in Whitehall in 2010. Young, it resembles a Sumac, At 70 feet it is mistaken for Walnut. It is an invasive, fast-growing tree introed to the US from China. I cut one by my house foundation yearly and it sprouts again. It is choking beautiful trees all over my neighborhood, It spreads by 'whirly-gig" seeds like a Maple, It will crush your foundation or crack your driveway, and NEEDS to be on Whitehall's no-plant list.

School buses and emergency vehicles utilize this section of road daily. It's bad enough that people cutting through go over 25mph, but when individuals are parked directly beside one another on both sides of this road, it creates a huge hazard for those trying to drive on the road. When construction on the new schools was active, the city had only one sided parking. Sometimes no parking on either side. All homes on this stretch of road have sufficient driveways for no less than 3 vehicles. There is only 2 homes where the driveways exit toward the east. Neither park on the street. Both are double wide driveways. I, as a resident of this area, feel safety for children and passing cars far proceeds the casual convenience of both side parking. Thank you for your time and consideration.

I would love to see a nighttime Christmas parade. I grew up in a small town on the Ohio River that holds nighttime Christmas parade each year. There are actually several cities in Belmont County who do this. Bellaire and Martins Ferry in Belmont County Ohio and Wheeling West Virginia. They are a big draw in those areas and it would be nice if Whitehall would do the same. Everything has lights on it, bands, floats, vehicles and the people. It is nice to see and kids young and old really enjoy it. Citizens in Whitehall seem to like the 4th of July and the Veteran's Day parade and I am sure that they would also like a lighted Christmas parade. It could done in conjunction with the tree lighting ceremony.
I am sure if you are ever interested in doing this at some point, the councils of Bellaire, Martins Ferry and Wheeling would would probably be able to give some pointers. They have been doing them for years.
